To all Tulsa Youth Hockey Association Members:

As we approach the end of the 2008/2009 season, it is time to start preparing for next season.  Currently there are two vacant Board of Director positions to be filled.  Both positions are three year terms.  TYHA will be accepting nominations effective immediately.  The deadline for submitting nominations is Friday, March 6, 2009 at 5:00 PM.  Before you consider nominating someone, please confirm that they are willing to serve and devote the time necessary to assist in running our Association.  All nominations should be sent via email to:  thsh@cox.net

Once all nominations are received, members will be notified of the nominees and we will proceed with the voting process.

Voting Guidelines:

• All TYHA members in good standing will be allowed to vote.
• Only one ballot per family may be submitted.
• On the ballot, each family will cast their vote for their top two choices since we have two open positions.
• The two nominees that receive the most overall votes will be deemed the winners.
• On March 9, 10, and 11, 2009, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, we will have a representative at Oilers Ice Center for people to vote in person.
• To simplify the voting process this year, we will also be accepting ballots via email at:  thsh@cox.net
• In order for ballots to be counted via email, it must be time stamped no later than 7:00 PM, March 11, 2009 and must clearly identify family submitting votes.

Volunteers are vital to the operation and success of our Association.  If you have a passion for the future of Tulsa Youth Hockey Association, we strongly urge you to get involved.  We have the potential to be a premier program in this part of the country.  But only with the continued support and participation of volunteers can we make that happen.
